About

I help brands get cited, not just ranked.

Search is splitting in two. One half still returns ten blue links. The other half — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews — just answers the question, and either names your brand or doesn't. I work on the second half: off-page authority and Reddit marketing for SaaS and service brands trying to become the answer.

My name's Abhishek Parpala. I got into SEO in 2022 doing link building and outreach, and I still run operations for a white-hat link building agency today. Four years of getting brands ranked taught me how authority actually gets built on the web — who links to whom, what makes a mention credible, what a search engine trusts.

That same authority is what AI models lean on when they decide which brand to name in an answer. So the skill transfers, but the playbook doesn't — an AI Overview doesn't care about your keyword density, and it reads Reddit threads the way Google used to read backlinks. I spent the last year rebuilding my approach around that difference.

What I work on

  1. 01

    AI Search Visibility

Tracking whether a brand shows up when ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews answer questions its buyers are already asking.

  2. 02

    AI Search Competitor Research

Mapping who gets named in those answers instead, and which sources the models are pulling that authority from.

  3. 03

    Brand Mentions & Citations

Building the kind of third-party mentions that language models treat as evidence, not just the kind that rank on Google.

  4. 04

    Reddit & Community Marketing

Reddit is one of the most cited sources in AI answers. Getting a brand talked about there, credibly, is its own discipline.

  5. 05

    Off-Page SEO & Link Building

The foundation underneath all of it — four years of link building and outreach, now aimed at a newer kind of visibility.

How I got here

  1. 2022

Started in SEO — link building, outreach, and WordPress publishing at scale.

  2. Since

Operations manager at WHLinks, a white-hat link building agency, running the day-to-day for its founder.

  3. Last year

Moved into GEO/AEO — helping brands get found inside AI answers, not just search results.

  4. Now

Building a freelance practice around it, with this site doubling as the case study.

Right now

I'm early — building this site as a live case study, taking on a first case-study client, and putting the same visibility tracking I'd run for a client to work on my own name. If you're a SaaS or service brand wondering whether AI search even mentions you yet, that's the first thing I'd look at.
